What is the cuisine style for Bistro kai?
Bistro Kai offers a unique French and Japanese fusion cuisine in Chatswood.
Do I need to make a reservation?
Yes, reservations are highly recommended. Please book via our Reservation page, or feel free to contact us on +61 4452 656 356 or contact us via Instagram. Walk-ins are welcome depending on availability.
What are your opening hours?
Monday – Sunday
Coffee: 7:00 am – 2:30 pm/ Lunch: 11:00 am – 2:30 pm/Dinner: 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm (Fri & Sat until 11:00 pm)
I've booked the outside table, what happens if it rains?
In case of rain, we will do our best to accommodate guests indoors, subject to availability.
Are there any surcharge?
Please note a surcharge of 10% applies on weekends and 15% of Public Holidays. A 10% service charge and a minimum spend of $80 per person apply to all groups of 6 or more. (DINNER ONLY). Check out our reservation page.
Will you charge for cancellations and no-shows?
Yes, a $15 per guest fee applies to cancellations made within 24 hours of the booking, as well as no-shows. Reservations can be cancelled or modified up to 1 day before the booking. Our cancellation policy is outlined during the booking process and is also included in the confirmation email sent at the time of booking.
Late Arrivals
We hold the table for guests, however the dining time limit will still apply.
What is KAI’s dining time limit?
We have a dining time policy to help us accommodate all guests comfortably. Reservations for
1–2 guests are allocated 1 hour 30 minutes
3–4 guests are allocated 2 hours
5–6 guests are allocated 2 hours 30 minutes,
and groups of 7 or more are allocated 3 hours.
Does the venue have wheelchair access?
Our venue is accessible; we welcome wheelchair diners.
Do you have Highchairs?
No.
What is the dress code at Bistro Kai?
Smart casual.
Do you accommodate allergies?
Our menus contain allergens and are prepared in kitchens that handle nuts, shellfish, gluten, and eggs. Whilst all reasonable efforts taken to accommodate guest dietary needs. We cannot guarantee our food will be allergen free.
Do you offer BYO?
Yes, corkage is $50 per bottle.
Are you dog friendly?
Yes, outdoor seating only.
Is there parking at Bistro Kai?
Street parking is available nearby. Other convenient parking options include Chatswood Chase Parking, Secure Parking, and Westfield Parking. Some nearby car parks may offer up to 3 hours of free parking, but we recommend checking directly for the latest details.

Walking 6 minutes to Chatswood train station.
Do you accept Amex and Diners Club?
Yes.

Any minors welcome at Bistro Kai?
Yes, minors MUST be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian over 18 years old at all times. After 10pm guests under 18 must vacate the venue.
